Lyudmila was born of Belorussian parents. Much of her childhood was spent traveling throughout Europe, giving Lyudmila insight and direct experience of myriad traditional cultures and societies.

In 2011, she graduated from Rochester UCA and become The Gold Award finalist at the London Graduate Fashion Week (LGFW) for her “Endless Sequence ” collection which expressed her personal vision of moving sculpture of Peter Jansen through the soft magnified beauty of pleated fabric.

LGFW recognition launched the Lyudmila Lane brand, and she found herself featured in ‘Glamour’, ‘Now’ and ‘Vogue’ online as upcoming talent to watch. She also won the ‘Who’s Next Pret-a-Porter’ 2012 competition with ‘Arts Thread’, and then was honoured as England’s representative in China’s ‘T-Force International Fashion Award’.

Most recently her label was featured in Season Eight of ‘Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model’ with the eight finalists each wearing her long pleated garment on a water filled catwalk.
